Work work work!

I have been going through some old art lately. I have quite a few old paintings that have yet to find permanent homes. Instead, they gather dust in my home - sad and lonely. So I have decided to revisit these pieces and upcycle them to give them new life.

Here is a pic of the first step. I have added some found objects for texture. I love mixed media art, so I have found that upcycling like this gives me a chance to experiment with various textures.

This next pic shows another stage of the process. Here I have begun to add some color. This is to complement the colors in the painting as well as unify the texture. So far, I'm having fun with this, but it is far from done. Stay tuned for the final product!
