There once was a little girl made of cloth. She woke up one day, remembering nothing but her name, Misery Black. Misery sees the world through wide, innocent eyes.
Sometimes, you can feel on the brink of falling, with no end...staring into oblivion...
This piece was an early experiment of mine. This was the beginning of me transitioning into doing more and varied mixed media. Up until this piece, I had been working in just pen and ink with a little bit of acrylic paint for accents. This time, I was trying different things to smudge the ink and apply it differently. I was inspired by a spilled ink bottle that became an endless abyss. Give this little baby a home and you will have a piece of my artistic evolution!
Original ink on watercolor paper, framed in a simple 12"x16" black frame with a white mat. Wired and ready for hanging.
