Anybody Home? - 38"x32" Framed Mixed Media on Wood

Item Description

There once was a little girl made of cloth. She woke up one day, remembering nothing but her name, Misery Black. Misery sees the world through wide, innocent eyes.

Misery is a rag doll. She found a dollhouse with a doll inside...but what if Misery is the doll in the dollhouse??

This is another of my early large scale mixed media pieces. I had already been experimenting on wood, so I decieded after "So Far Down" to work directly on the wood instead of just mounting paper to it. However, once the piece was done, I found myself once again facing the dilemma of framing. I had some scrap wood so I decided to see what I could do with it. I added more texture medium and mini bistro chairs cascading down the sides. I like how they look as a texture while a couple of red chairs peek through emphasizing the blurred lines of reality and perception. This piece asks the question, who is watching whom??

Original ink and acrylic on wood with texture and found objects. The frame is handmade 29"x32" painted wood, embellished with texture and mini bistro chairs, wired and ready to hang.

Please understand that colors may vary slightly from what appears on your monitor.

**Please note that shipping is an estimate. I'm really not sure what the rate would be because of being over sized. Shipping will be adjusted for any major discrepencies. If you live locally, pick up or delivery may be possible. Contact me at info@laughinggoddessdesigns.com for more info.***
