Mal and Misery as Diego y Frida - 4"x6" glossy signed print

Item Description

There once was a little girl made of cloth. She woke up one day, remembering nothing but her name, Misery Black. Misery sees the world through wide, innocent eyes.

Frida Kahlo is my favorite artist - my hero, really. I built a nicho for Dia de los Muertos. A nicho is often used during this holiday to honor love ones who had passed. I wanted to honor Frida and her beloved husband, the muralist Diego Rivera. I depicted Misery and Mal as the artists in their wedding portrait. Daisy and Little Bear are holding a sash that says, "an elephant and a dove" in spanish. This refers to how Diego and Frida were seen as a mismatched couple. This is my homage to my hero and her love.
